Tips and Tricks for Better Organization

Starting your university can seem daunting. New city, new school, new people and professors, and the most challenging thing – new tasks and subjects.

Before you know it, you will have a lot of reading material to catch up on. How to stay on top of it all? In this blog post, we give you a couple of tips and tricks on how to better handle it all!

1. Keep an Organizer

Whether you wish to have an actual notebook or prefer to keep everything digital, keep in mind that you need some sort of an organizer. This way you will always know what is ahead of you, and you will easily keep up with your classes, extra activities, social events, and so on.

You can also buy or print out a big calendar with enough space to write activities and deadlines for each day.

2. Declutter Your Table Regularly

In case you are always studying at the library this won’t apply to you, but having a clean study space is a must. Prep before your semester with enough notebooks, pencils, pens, highlighters, binders, and other stationery.

Don’t leave papers just lying around; put them in the specified binder. This will keep the clutter to a minimum, and you will be thanking yourself before exams. Make sure to always go through your materials and discard the unnecessary ones. This will clear out your room and your headspace.

3. Prioritize Accordingly

Now that you have your planner, prioritize. Depending on your schedule, some classes will need your full attention right away, while others can wait. Plan your writing, depending on the papers’ deadlines.

But, remember! Don’t overstress yourself. With good planning, you will have plenty of time to finish everything.

4. Taking Time Off

Studying hard is only possible with enough rest. Choose a day when you don’t have classes to recuperate. Taking some time off is a must. Organize a picnic, visit a museum, watch a movie, or just sleep in – depending on your energy levels, choose the most enjoyable way to spend your free time and to relax.
